Arctic Monkeys front man to appear on new Queens Of The Stone Age album
The US band announced earlier in the week that the record would be titled ...Like Clockwork and would be released in June. Josh Homme and co revealed that they have signed to Matador to launch the new material.
Turner is just one of a host of guest stars to contribute to ...Like Clockwork with famous musicians such as Dave Grohl, Sir Elton John, Trent Reznor, Nick Oliveri and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters already being announced.
It is just the latest collaboration that Arctic Monkeys have had with Queens Of The Stone Age as Homme co-produced the band's 2009 album Humbug alongside English producer James Ford.
The front man also appeared on the 2011 record Suck It And See providing backup vocals on the track All My Own Stunts.
...Like Clockwork will represent Queens Of The Stone Age's sixth studio album and their first new material since 2007's Era Vulgaris. The band were also also nominated for a Grammy award for Best Hard Rock Performance for the track Sick, Sick, Sick in 2008.
