Arctic Monkeys drummer joins P Diddy's backing band
Matt Helders, the man normally found behind the drum kit in the Arctic Monkeys, has made a surprise appearance in P Diddy's backing band.
Helders joined the American rapper as he played his latest single, Hell Good Morning, on the Jonathan Ross show.
The song is being released today (June 14th 2010) while the performance of it was broadcast last Friday on BBC One.
P Diddy and Helders became friends last year when Arctic Monkeys were in the US recording their third album Humbug, reports NME.
In April, the drummer said that his regular group are keen to get started on their next record.
He told NME Radio: "We've said we'll stop touring this album and we're eager to start working on new stuff again, not have time off again."
Helders added the band would like to work again with Joshua Homme, who produced Humbug, but it may be difficult to get hold of the busy musician, who is in both Them Crooked Vultures and Queens of the Stone Age.Posted on 14 Jun 2010 14:16 to category : Band / Celebrity News
