Arctic Monkeys drummer: Work on new album to begin soon
Posted on 1 Apr 2010 08:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Matt Helders, the man behind the drum kit in Arctic Monkeys, has revealed that the band are to head back into the studio as soon as possible to start work on their fourth album.
He told NME Radio that the band are not planning to take any time off once they finish a tour of the US next month.
"We've said we'll stop touring this album [Humbug] and we're eager to start working on new stuff again, not have time off again," Helders said.
The drummer added that Arctic Monkeys are keen to hand over production duties on their next record to Joshua Homme, who also produced Humbug.
But he said that it may be difficult to get hold the prolific musician, who is in Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures.
Last weekend, the band held what now looks likely to be their last UK shows for a while, playing the Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, as well as a special show at Shepherds Bush Empire which saw the group play album tracks and B-sides from Humbug.
