Apple to Buy Beats Electronics?
The video (NSFW) shows Dr Dre and artist Tyrese seemingly intoxicated and celebrating the deal which stands to see them earn $3.2 billion saying, "they need to update the Forbes list", with Dre adding, "in a big way, understand that. The first billionaire in Hip Hop right here."
The deal will also include the Beats Music streaming service that launched across the pond this year. The service has a library of over 20 million songs and artists behind it such as Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails acting as Beats Music chief creative officer. It already uses Apple products in its branding.
The acquisition would be the biggest Apple has ever been involved in. The two brands seem to compliment each other in style, with many high-profile users and a distinctive style.
Apple have yet to confirm the deal, but more news is expected in the coming week.
