Angels & Airwaves star praises Fender Jazz Bass

The Fender Jazz Bass guitar has come in for praise from Angels & Airwaves musician Matt Wachter.
Speaking to the instrument manufacturer's website, Wachter explained that although he used a P-Bass guitar to record the majority of his parts on the band's new record, he decided to take Jazz Bass guitars on tour.
"I feel like a Jazz Bass has more options, tonally," he said. "With a Jazz Bass, you can shape the tone a little bit more [than the P-Bass]... I like having that versatility."
He added that Angels & Airwaves customised the two Jazz Bass guitars they took on tour recently by chiselling them.
Wachter stated that this helped the guitars to look "really cool" and ensure that he will always remember using them during this round of gigs.
Another bass guitar player to recently use a Fender on stage was Alkaline Trio's Dan Andriano.
He has been playing a new American Deluxe Precision Bass during a recent tour of the US.
