Amy Macdonald 'uses guitar as emotional outlet'
Singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald has explained how she always turns to her guitar whenever she is feeling emotional.
Speaking to the Daily Record, the acoustic guitar player explained that music is a fantastic outlet for her and she uses her emotions as a "good base" for writing songs.
"When I feel a bit sad, I pick up the guitar. So the good thing is, if I am ever feeling a bit down, I usually end up writing a song," Macdonald explained.
The star revealed that one event that has recently inspired her pen a new track was the rescue of the Chilean miners.
She said it was a very inspiring event and she cried each time a miner surfaced.
Macdonald is set to embark on a UK tour later this month, playing shows in Manchester, Glasgow and London.
She will then head to mainland Europe in November for gigs in France, Switzerland, Germany, Holland and Belgium.
