AmpliTube Fender starts shipping

Fender Musical Instruments and IK Multimedia have announced the launch of the AmpliTube Fender amp and software suite.
It is the only Fender package in the marketplace that is capable of emulating this many sounds.
"Imagine taking your electric guitar or bass and plugging it directly into your computer, then instantly having access to decades of famous Fender amplifier tones right at your fingertips," the companies said in a press release.
The AmpliTube is one of several new products to have been released by Fender this year.
Six new instruments have been added to its line-up of electric guitars so far, consisting of three new Road Worn models and Eric Johnson, Ritchie Blackmore and Dave Murray signature Stratocasters.
The firm's Classic Player 60's Stratocaster was named best electric guitar at the Music Industries Association's Music Awards in 2007.
