Al Murray promotes upcoming Learn to Play Day
The comedian, who also plays drums, told the radio station about the great work that the initiative was doing to encourage youngsters to pick up an instrument and try to become more musical.
Murray told host Stuart Marconie: "I did it last year and I gave a drum lesson in a big store - Chappells of Bond Street, which isn't on Bond Street - and basically showed four-year olds how to play the drums, which is just as well because I play like a four year-old so it was a good exchange of skills."
The Pub Landlord funny man plays drums for band T-34, named after a Soviet medium tank used during World War II, who appeared at Download Festival in both 2010 and 2011.
He is a big supporter of the Learn to Play Day scheme which will be celebrating its annual event on March 16th and is hoping that more and more youngsters pick up an instrument and get playing.
