For the past week, we've seen teasers from Akai Professional featuring earth, water, fire and wind. Finally, Akai have announced what their latest project, the MPC Element, is all about.

A music production controller, the MPC Element features 16 velocity-sensitive pads, backlit for instant feedback.

Modern music production is made easy, with the all-new MPC Essentials software included, alongside a 1GB sound library. You can also import your own samples, too.

Covering all your production needs, Element's hardware is thin, measuring less than 14mm, so it will fit in a laptop bag for ease of transport.

The MPC Element operates via standard MIDI and will can control your existing MIDI software, and you can run the Essentials software with or without the Element hardware for ultimate versatility.

Aksi have also released the RPM500 and RPM800 Studio Monitors, engineered to reproduce your mix in meticulous detail.
