Adele continues to break records
Adele's record 21, released well over a year ago, has now overtaken Michael Jackson's classic album Bad in the UK in terms of how many copies have been sold.
According to the Official Charts Company, 21 is now the eighth biggest selling album of all time, a remarkable feat given how long it has been out for.
It has now sold over four million copies in the UK and is expected to keep on selling given that her popularity is showing no signs of abating.
If she sells a further 150,000 copies of the record, which many believe is possible, she will leapfrog Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon and Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms.
After her Brit Awards and Grammy Awards success, Adele is clearly having one of the most productive and successful periods of her fledgling career.
The top five selling albums of all time in the UK are Queen's Greatest Hits at number one, followed by The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club, Abba's Gold, Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory and Michael Jackson's Thriller.
