Adam Ant's Oasis track
Posted on 21 Apr 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

Adam Ant has teamed up with a former member of Oasis on his first album in 15 years.
The singer is currently working on the LP 'Adam Ant Is The Blueblack Hussar in Marrying The Gunner's Daughter' and as well as the mystery guest spot it also features collaborations with his long-term songwriting partner Marco Pirroni and former 3 Colours Red guitarist Chris McCormack.
Talking about the album, Ant told NME.com: "One of the songs features a member of Oasis.
"It's a live record that lends itself to performance and will feature a kind of concept. It's a very old fashioned, old school, step-by-step album."
Ant - real name Stuart Goddard - has also recorded a tribute to the late Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, who was once in charge of Adam and the Ants.
The song, entitled 'Who's a Goofy Bunny Then?', was originally a demo recorded in the 80s but the 55-year-old musician wants to release a new version of the track, which refers to McLaren's "quite prominent teeth".
He added: "Malcolm was a sort of mentor in my life. As close as you can get to a surrogate father."
Punk pioneer McLaren passed away earlier this month at the age of 64 after losing his battle with cancer.
