Acts announced for NME Awards Tour 2013
The band will be joined by Miles Kane, Palma Violet and Peace on the annual tour across the UK, which is due to begin at Newcastle's O2 Academy on February 7th before finishing at London's Brixton Academy on February 23rd.
Dave MacLean, Django Django's drummer, told NME: "I was looking back at the bands who've played it in the past and it seems like everybody has! By February, we'll have a bunch of new songs written too, so we're looking to add at least one to the set – and possibly a cover."
The NME Awards Tour has become a staple in the gigging calendar and showcases the very best in up and coming music. During its tenure, the tour has launched the careers of a number of high profile acts.
In the past the likes of The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and The Cribs have all graced the stage while the tour has also pushed the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Florence and the Machine and The Vaccines into the public eye.
Tickets go on sale on Friday (November 30th) at 9am.
