AKG microphones win Grammy Award
Posted on 2 Feb 2010 19:30 to category : Music News

AKG microphones and headphones have been given a prestigious Grammy Award in recognition of the company's contribution to the art and science of music recording.
The brand was given a Technical Grammy, which was picked up by Dinesh Paliwal, the chief executive officer, chairman and president of AKG's parent company Harman International.
"AKG microphones and headphones perform with the world's top entertainers and we are delighted to help them deliver the lasting impressions that audio creates within our culture," he said.
Among the artists that have used AKG microphones in the past are legendary acts such as Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder.
More modern performers to use AKG equipment include Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Kanye West.
The latter used an AKG equipment on his global Glow in the Dark tour last year, which saw West travel across six continents to play in 40 cities around the world.
