The Xeno Series
The Xeno series draws together a map of craftsmanship that involves the design, advanced technology and the experience, talent and dreams of honoured artists from all over the world.
The trumpets in this series are here to inspire their players with the incredible power and projection that they produce. Together with their redefined resistance and response these trumpets have great tonal flexibility. Xeno trumpets continue to develop towards their artists' needs in order to be the ideal musical instruments on the market.
New Bell Design and Medium-Large Bore
The features of the 4th generation of the Xeno trumpet are important to the way the instrument is made in order to make the instrument as great to play as possible. A new bell design with a new taper creates perfect resistance through the instrument, making it easier on higher registers and also gives it a powerful tonal core. This combined with a medium-large bore, creates an instrument that has a sufficient amount of resistance to produce a bright and centred tone with plenty of colour and character.
Reverse Tuning Slide
The Yamaha YTR8335RG features a reverse tuning slide, which creates an improved airflow from the mouthpiece to the valve block. Where a normal tuning slide fits inside both the leadpipe and the valve block slide, the reserve tuning slide fits on the outside of the leadpipe and the inside of the valve block slide. This means that there are no points where the bore size is suddenly shrunk and so creates better airflow through the instrument.
Thinner Valve Casing & Pistons
Thanks to the thinner valve casing and pistons our performers are now provided with an instrument with the ideal blowing resistance, as well as the improved response due to the modified angle of the branch tube (knuckle). Also creating a new airflow through the pistons and a lighter block. A reduced wall thickness combined with a lighter piston makes the response easier and less tiring for the performer. The knuckles have been readdressed meaning the piping bends in to the block at a 90 degree angle. This increases resistance when blowing down the instrument and in turn creates a brighter tone.
Button on 1st Slide
The button featured on the first slide of the trumpet is used to fine-tune the blowing resistance to create better control.
Improved Water Key
To give players an increased optimum resistance Yamaha have now improved the height of the main slide water key gutter. The ends of the water key have also been changed and are now curled for improved response.
Everything You Need
The Yamaha Xeno trumpet doesn't come alone, in fact it includes a double trumpet case which can either hold two trumpets or the Xeno trumpet and mutes. As well as that, it includes a shoulder strap and backpack straps suitable for transporting around. Also featured on this bag are slide stoppers that prevent the 1st and 3rd valve slides from falling off the instrument during performances. A Yamaha TRC16C4 mouthpiece has been added making this outfit the perfect all-in-one package to get you started. Use this instrument straight from the box with everything that you need included.
Yamaha's standard series mouthpieces enable smooth attacks, secure control and easy playability. At the perfect weight balance for an all-round use this mouthpiece is the perfect addition to this outfit.
