Easy to set-up and use, the only connections needed are the mains supply and line-level input. The volume control is conveniently located on the front panel, allowing for easy level matching with other audio equipment. The integrated design allows the amplifiers and the drivers to be calibrated as a single unit, ensuring consistent quality.
The all-aluminium Minimum Diffraction Enclosure and advanced Directivity Control Waveguide technologies are carefully matched and complemented with advanced amplifier and electronics circuitry and the latest drivers.
The bass and treble amplifiers produce 20W of output power each, with very low THD and IM distortion values. The amplifier unit also contains protection circuitry that monitors the output levels and prevents any damage to the drivers, making the system immune to overloads.
A 19mm metal dome tweeter is loaded by an advanced DCW waveguide. The 105mm bass cone driver is mounted in a newly-designed bass reflex enclosure. Protective grilles are positioned in front of both drivers, magnetic shielding is standard on the 8020B, vital for applications such as video post-production.
The excellent directivity characteristics and accurate imaging, with compact size and flexible mounting options make the 8020B the perfect monitoring tool for applications ranging from home theatres, digital workstations and multimedia production to near-field monitoring and mobile vans.
