Pioneer CDJ-2000nexus Multiplayer Digital DJ Deck

Based on the much loved Pioneer CDJ-2000 the CDJ-2000nexus has evolved to meet the needs of modern DJs. Prepare amazing sets and playlists using the included Pioneer rekordbox software or download the new rekordbox app to access the same features on your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Android smartphone or tablet. Your music can then be loaded onto the CDJ-2000nexus via USB or Wi-Fi.

Those familiar with the Pioneer DJ Decks will see that the CDJ-2000nexus has inherited its external design from its predecessor but has a few key improvements. The metal colour jog wheel and pots give that premium look whilst the anti-scratch panel keeps it looking sleek and new with frequent use. The white illumination gives extra high visibility in booth.

The new Beat Sync feature means you can achieve perfect beat matching every time you play. Hit the sync button and the CDJ-2000nexus looks at the rekordbox beat grip on up to four connected players and snaps them to the beat of the master deck. This new feature should revolutionise DJ performance as they are freed up to get creative with loops, cues and scratching or the samples and effects on their mixer.

Another practical feature of the CDJ-2000nexus is the high quality Master Tempo which keeps your sound faithful to the original tone as you are free to manipulate the tempo.

In addition to the original Wave display, which shows DJs the peaks and troughs of the music, the CDJ-2000nexus is the first player to have Wave Zoom for even more precision on loops and cues. The popular needle search, that allows DJs to slide their finger along the ribbon to access any point in the track, is now illuminated for improved visibility in those dark venues.

The new screen on the CDJ-2000nexus ensures clear and sharp viewing. The 6.1 inch full colour LCD screen is inherited from the CDJ-2000 but browsing and selection has been made even easier with the introduction of a choice of views and a large rotary dial. Access all your personal preferences via the 'My Settings' area. The player will automatically detect any settings which have been selected in rekordbox too meaning you can have your DJ booth fully customised and ready to go in seconds.

The Pioneer CDJ-2000nexus boasts professional quality audio circuits and has a built in 24bit/48 kHz sounds card giving you clear, powerful sound even at those club volumes. The precision engineered Wolfson DAC plays master quality audio files and reduces jitter whilst the player's signal-to-noise ratio of 115dB ensures incredibly accurate sound reproduction. The new IEC connection allows a better power connection giving improved sound and the LAN port design is now more robust with a nifty feature that makes it impossible to plug in the wrong cable!

Pioneer's aim when designing the CDJ-2000nexus was to grant modern DJs more freedom in live performances and refresh the DJ experience. The CDJ-2000nexus embodies a range of exciting, new features in order to do this which include:

• Improved Quantize - uses the beat grid to ensure loops and cues are triggered in time with the music. DJs can now access this feature through a dedicated on/off button.

• Active Loop - rekordbox can be used to set an Active Loop at the end of a track to ensure you're never caught unprepared! The CDJ-2000nexus helpfully displays a beat countdown to the starting point.

• Slip Mode - silently continues track playback during a loop, reverse or scratch and brings the music back at the right point when the DJ exits performance.

• Hot Cue auto load - when a track is loaded onto the player this feature will instantly load up to three pre-set Hot Cues.

• Last track played - DJs can use the dial to easily navigate through the last five tracks loaded onto the player.

• Emergency Loop - should the player become disconnected from the source, the CDJ2000nexus will automatically go into a four-beat loop which you can then scratch or mix into another source.

• Rating on the go - if you rate and change the ratings of tracks during a performance it will be automatically synched with rekordbox.

• Beat Countdown - Use rekordbox to mark key points on a track and the CDJ-2000nexus counts down to them from up to 64 bars away.

• Phase Meter - with a glance you are able to see the position of the beat in the bar and compare the phase with the master deck.

• Key Analysis Indicator - the 'traffic light system' browse feature shows you which songs are in a compatible musical key with the master deck and, if used with the Master Tempo feature, ensures harmonised mixes every time.
