Wireless Microphones

A Wireless Microphone transmits either via radio transmission or more recently, via digital signal. Wireless mics that are based on radio transmission, such as the Sennheiser Freeport system, transmit via UHF and will transmit on certain frequencies. A digital wireless system, like the Line 6 XD-V70 system, transmits in the same way a wireless internet router would, but with the advantage of not interfering with other airwaves.

About Wireless Microphones

Wireless mics that are based on radio transmission, such as the Sennheiser Freeport system, transmit via UHF and will transmit on certain frequencies. A digital wireless system, like the Line 6 XD-V70 system, transmits in the same way a wireless internet router would, but with the advantage of not interfering with other airwaves. Digital wireless is also considered to be a none ‘lossy’ format, giving you better audio reproduction. Wireless mics are available in the usual dynamic, condenser and lavallier (lapel/clip-on) style.
