The 8865 digital piano features an 88 note fully weighted and graded hammer action keyboard, for an unbelievably real piano feel. The 8 stereo PCM voices provide CD-quality sounds, while the 64 voices of polyphony make possible performance of even the most demanding, pianistic passages of classical music and jazz. Four levels of touch response are offered, allowing you to fine-tune the response of the instrument to your playing style, with the 'touch response off' function facilitating realistic harpsichord and organ feels.

With a great sound and feel, it's like having a real acoustic piano, only without the hassles of tuning and maintenance.

Controls

A number of controls are conveniently located on the front panel of the 8865. Three levels of reverb provide spacious sound, while the Chorus setting provides an extra 'swirl' for string and organ sounds. The unique 'Dual Mode' allows layering of any two sounds simultaneously. The transpose function allows for playing along with recordings and jamming with other musicians in easier keys, while the built in metronome encourages development of rhythm skills. The multi-function LCD display gives you feedback on metronome and transposition settings. Stereo recording and playback is offered with two memory locations - play duets with yourself, or record your compositions.

All controls are immediately accessible from the front panel via dedicated knobs and buttons, with no confusing menus.

The standard three piano pedals (Soft, Sustain and Sostenuto) are integrated into the cabinet for an additional degree of piano realism.

Input and Output

The dual stereo headphone outputs make playing on headphones a pleasure. MIDI in and out enable connection to PC or Mac computers, permitting use of the 8865 as a master PC keyboard or a sound module.The built-in dual speakers and stereo amplifier provide a rich, high quality sound whether used at an acoustic piano volume, or at a lower volume to avoid disturbing others - great for late night practice!
