Squier By Fender Simon Neil Stratocaster - Biffy Clyro Signature - Mon the Biff! Squier is delighted to unveil its new Biffy Clyro signature instruments. Available in Europe, the Squier Simon Neil Signature Stratocaster and the Squier James Johnston Jazz Bass guitars were designed in collaboration with the hugely popular Scottish alt-rockers.
Formed by Simon Neil (guitar/vocals) and twins James Johnston (bass/vocals), and Ben Johnston (drums/vocals) in the mid-90's, Scottish alternative rock band Biffy Clyro have been entering into the hearts of rock fans all over the globe.
The band's sound is characterized by a heavy, yet melodic, mixture of guitar, bass and drums, with all three band members contributing to vocals and a true guitar hero in the making with Simon Neil. Biffy Clyro are known for complex and interwoven guitar riffs, chord sequences and melodies, and an intense, exciting live show.
With the release of "Puzzle" in 2007 the band gained mainstream success, reaching No.2 in the UK album charts and a string of successful singles. In July 2008, the band released a new single entitled "Mountains", which reached No.5 in the UK Singles Chart and are about to release the highly anticipated album "Only Revolutions" on 14th Floor Records.

The Simon Neil Stratocaster guitar puts Simon's own personal touch on a Squier Classic Vibe series instrument. Based on his Fender Custom Shop Time Machine '60s Stratocaster guitar, features include an alder body finished in Fiesta Red, vintage-tint gloss maple neck, Simon's signature on the back of the headstock as well as the Biffy Clyro band logo on the front, 3-ply mint green pickguard, three custom vintage-style single-coil pickups utilizing a mix of alnico III & V magnets - perfect for rhythm parts and rich, clear leads - vintage-style tuning machines and tremolo, and aged plastic parts.
