— Ashikos are cone-shaped drums which are members of a family of West African instruments related to the Djembe.All Arthur Hull Signature drums are manufactured with Remo's proprietary ACOUSTICON shell material. This advanced drum shell material has excellent projection capabilities and enhanced low-pitched fundamentals. Added benefits are strength, weather-resistance and reduced weight.

Ashikos are cone-shaped drums which are members of a family of West African instruments related to the Djembe. Remo offers key-tuned and rope-tuned Ashikos, both models were developed with drum circle facilitator, Arthur Hull. For durability, weather resistance, and ultimately for sound, every Ashiko features Type 2 FIBERSKYN® 3 drumheads.
Ashikos are made with a high density molded bearing edge, for better shell to drumhead contact that results in a better sound.
