With its solid maple center block and f-hole semi-hollowbody design, the ES-335 effectively delivers the singing sustain of a solidbody while preserving the tone and richness of a full hollowbody with no feedback. For 2006, the Custom Shop has made several changes to more accurately reflect an original ES-335, including a period-correct center block resulting in ten to fifteen percent weight reduction, a slightly thinner body, and lower binding height.
