Gibson ES-335 Dot Reissue Light Burst
The ES-335 brought hollowbody tradition and solid body performance together in 1958, and it is still one of the all time classic guitar designs.
From Chuck Berry to Larry Carlton, Freddie King to Alvin Lee, the Gibson ES-335 has proven to be one of the most popular and adaptable guitars ever created. Touted as the wonder-thin body by Gibson when it launched in 1958, the ES-335 represented a ground-breaking innovation in electric guitars. With its solid maple center block and f-hole semi-hollowbody design, the ES-335 effectively delivers the singing sustain of a solidbody while preserving the tone and richness of a full hollowbody with no feedback. For 2006, the Custom Shop has made several changes to more accurately reflect an original ES-335, including a period-correct center block resulting in ten to fifteen percent weight reduction, a slightly thinner body, and lower binding height. Visit your authorized Gibson Custom Shop dealer today and experience this classic for yourself.
