Epiphone Rock Legend Steps Into The Future
This Limited Edition Epiphone 335 Pro electric guitar brings a classic vintage workhorse into the modern day with Epiphone's Classic PRO humbuckers and coil-tapping. The original ES-335 was a breakthrough guitar design when it first appeared in 1958 due to its elegant design and colourful tone. The Epiphone 335 put classic guitar styling into the hands of kids hungry for rock n roll. The Epiphone 335 was light, loud and offered a whole new sound.
Although the original designers of the Epiphone 335 imagined it might be one for the jazz players, the ES-335 was soon embraced by rock, country and rhythm and blues guitarists in the U.S. and U.K. The original Epiphone 335 inspired artists from the early rock and roll era and the 60s blues revival, new wave, Britpop and Americana. Now, the Epiphone 335 Pro is inspiring a whole new generation of guitarists.
Limited Edition Epiphone 335 Pro
The Epiphone 335 Pro is a limited edition guitar, whihc is only available in selected retailers. The guitar is a new take on the legendary semi-hollowbody archtop, with all the classic ES-335 features. An ES-style body with Alnico Classic PRO humbucker pickups, the new ES-335 PRO semi-hollowbody from Epiphone turns back the clock while breaking new ground in sound and style. One of the best deals around for guitarists who want vintage sound and style without vintage problems and prices!
Vintage Semi Hollow Design
Constructed of premium laminated maple and birch, the Epiphone 335 Pro also has a mahogany centre block and hand-fitted, glued-in 24.75" scale mahogany neck with a vintage correct 1960s SlimTaper "D" profile. The 335's fingerboard is made from rosewood and features small pearloid block inlays with the classic 60s Epiphone logo and ES-335 PRO in white on the truss rod cover. The fingerboard and body top and back feature cream binding for an elegant and striking finish.
Alnico Classic Pro Power
Epiphone's 335 Pro features their rock solid hardware with Alnico Classic PRO 4-wire humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. This gives the 335 Pro tones which would be out of reach for a vintage ES-335. These pickups feature Alnico V magnets which give huge humbucker sustain with an impressive dynamic range that can switch from clean to blues at a touch. Plus, the Epiphone 335 Pro now features coil tapping on both pickups via a push/pull control on the pickups' volume controls.
Killer Epiphone Hardware
Other hardware on the 335 guitar includes all metal, full function volume and tone knobs using full size 500k potentiometers matched with Epiphone's rugged, all metal 3 way toggle pickup selector switch for long lasting performance. This limited edition 335 Pro also features Wilikinson Vintage Classic 14:1 tuners for lifetime security and Epiphone's exclusive LockTone tune-o-matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece for a killer sustain.
