Key Features
The Ibanez GVB1006 Gerald Veasley Signature 6-string bass guitar was created for the renowned contemporary jazz bassist with several features specifically tailored to his style of play. Chief among these is the narrow 14mm string spacing, which allows for playing chords with much more ease.
Product Ref: 37876
The GVB1006 has a comfortably arched alder body with a beautiful select figured maple top, enhanced by the attractive Amber finish. The Mono-Rail IV bridge has each saddle independently locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer, and they are easily adjustable with a single screw.
The sound from the Bartolini® P45C pickups can be adjusted using the ultra-flexible Aguilar OBP-3 EQ system. It provides +/-18dB of cut/boost at 40Hz, +/-16dB of cut/boost at either 400Hz or 800Hz and +/-18dB of cut/boost at 6.5kHz. The mid frequency can be set to either 400Hz or 800Hz using the push/pull switch.
The bass has a three-piece maple and wenge neck and a rosewood fingerboard with abalone oval inlays. The 24 medium frets have the Prestige fret edge treatment for smooth, comfortable playing. A hardshell case is included to protect the bass in transit.
