The Stage Custom emplys 100 birch - a classic in the realm of high-class drum kits. Moreover, with its six-ply structure the Stage Custom accurately conveys the vibrations produced at the impact surface. The staggered diagonal seam allows us to build a thin shell that is strong and built to last. The beautiful high-gloss lacquer finish and low-mass lugs lets the shell vibrate for superb tone and sustain. These drums are complimented by Yamaha's legendary YESS to mount system which maximises the resonance of the drum by taking the tom mount away from the shell and mounting it on the Nodal point.
