About DJ Mixers |

|
A DJ mixer is a specialized audio mixing console that has a few unique features - a ‘cue’ option and a ‘crossfader’. The ‘cue’ option allows a non-playing audio source to be monitored, before it is sent out to the main mix. This is particularly useful when beat matching and mixing audio. A crossfader is a horizontal fader that allows two sources to be faded in and out at the same time. DJ mixers will also feature effects and EQ like other audio mixers. When using a computer, a MIDI mixer or controller performs in the same way as a standard DJ mixer, but doesn’t deal with any audio signals – this is processed by the software. |
